Neighborhood Associations: CONFAVC Confederació d'Associacions Veïnals de Catalunya (Catalonian Neighborhood Associations Confederation), a non profit entity acting in Catalonia which is focussed on the consumers protection and on the promotion of citizen participation in public issues. It currently represents 26 local associations, regional and trans-regional federations, and 676 neighbourhood associations. Since year 2000, it is considered as a public service organization by the Home Office of Spain. Territorial and environmental sustainability is one of the axes and labor camps of its strategic plan to achieve a better quality of life for the residents and their neighbourhoods.
