The Waste Objective Campaign (COR) of the EMA Entitat del Medi Ambient (Environmental Entity) is co-funded by the European Commission through the Financial Instrument for the Environment Life+ . The Life COR project is registered to project proposal number LIFE08 INF/E/000187.
The Life COR Project is included in the Information and Communication area of Life+. Its objectives are:
- Disseminating information and raising awareness of environmental issues, including forest fires prevention.
- Supporting accompanying measures such as: information, activities and communication campaigns, conferences and training, including training on forest fires.

The Life COR Project is one of the 196 projects approved in the 2008 edition of Life+ . There were over 600 proposals from public and private organizations from all 27 EU member states.
Of the 98 proposals received on Life Information and Communication area, the European Commission selected 17, most of them related to forest fires prevention.
The Life COR is an environmentalized project since its inception. The EMA is committed to reduce and, if unable to do so, to offset the CO ² emissions resulting from their actions. It is currently working in the compensation related to mobility, transport.
